This group of social sewers meets every Friday morning from 9.00am - midday. We laugh, talk and sew lightweight small quilts for the frail residents of a local aged care facility. It is a great way to use scrap fabrics and turn them into brightly coloured works of art.

We are well on target for achieving 70 quilts for a local Aged care facility. Once achieved, we will continue to make additional quilts to replace those that become thread bare with love. Then, we will move on to make further quilts for another facility to brighten the bedrooms and living spaces of our residents.
Donations of fabric, flannelette sheets and backing fabrics are always welcome. |
